This modality is centred on the idea of family systems. In this model, it is imagined that we have an internal family system that makes up who we are. These different “parts” have different roles for everyone, mainly around protecting parts of us that are deeply wounded.
Through exploration of these parts with a therapist we can access some of our most wounded parts to move towards healing.

This modality is centred on understanding that emotions are how we organize our outside world.
EFT is an attachment-based model, meaning that we learn to be in relationships with others through our main attachment to our caregivers. This means that we develop patterns of relationships through childhood that can then be repeated into our romantic relationships.
EFT is used in couples therapy, individual therapy as well as family therapy.

A modality that focuses on healing the intensity of traumatic incidents
This is an experiential model that involves using bi-lateral stimulation (back and forth movements) to help access memories that are causing distress.
This modality takes trauma into something that has happened instead of feeling as if it is currently happening

This is a type of play therapy that is based on co-regulation with the therapist
In this modality, the counsellor tunes into the nervous system and base line of the child. The counsellor demonstrates proper ways to respond to dysregulation and skills to use when feeling dysregulated. This is done through modelling these skills as opposed to telling the child about the skills.
Parent sessions are involved to help parents understand the importance of behaviour as communication as well as co-regulation and modelling as a fundamental tool in parenting.
